Awarding of Leonid Aronovich Shvartsman
On April 16, 2019, Leonid Aronovich Shvartsman, creator of the image of Cheburashka and Gena the Crocodile, the Kitten by the Name of Gav and other well-liked characters was awarded the Order of the Printing Pioneer Ivan Fedorov. Leonid Aronovich's contribution to the creation of cartoons and the illustration of books is truly unique, and his characters are a part of our culture.

On behalf of the Fund, the Order was awarded by Mariya Dmitriyevna Aksyonova.
Awarding of the creator of Etnomir, a cultural and educational center
On June 20, 2019, Ruslan Fataliyevich Bayramov, the founder and head of the Etnomir project, was awarded the Order of the Printing Pioneer Ivan Fedorov for the outstanding contribution to the development of education in Russia.

Bayramov's contribution to the dialogue of cultures and the scale of his activities are truly unique.

Awarding of Makarov, a Belarusian publisher
On September 10, 2013, Makarov, a Belarusian publisher, was awarded the Order of the Printing Pioneer Ivan Fedorov for his tremendous work in educating book publishing for children and young people at the annual Moscow World Book Fair at the All-Russian Exhibition Center in Moscow.

Awarding of the Knizhnoye Obozreniye newspaper and its Chief Editor, Aleksandr Nabokov
On September 9, 2012, the Knizhnoye Obozreniye newspaper and its Chief Editor, Aleksandr Nabokov were awarded the Order of the Printing Pioneer Ivan Fedorov at the annual Moscow World Book Fair at the All-Russian Exhibition Center in Moscow.

Alexander has been working in the newspaper publishing for more than 20 years; he is dedicated to the book publishing industry as selflessly as Knizhnoye Obozreniye itself.

Olga Kostyukova, the PR Director of the newspaper publishing, was accepted the Order on behalf of Knizhnoye Obozreniye.
Awarding of the Russian Silhouette Charitable Fund and the Vera Geppa Fashion Center
On December 6, 2008, the President of the Printing Pioneer Fund, Mariya Aksyonova, in particular, said at the awards ceremony as follows:

Awarding of Nikolay Alekseyevich Slichenko
On April 8, 2008, Nikolay Alekseyevich Slichenko, the People's Artist of the USSR, a State Prize laureate, was awarded the Order of the Printing Pioneer Ivan Fedorov for his contribution to Russian culture, for the outstanding embodiment of Russian classics on the stage and in connection with the International Roma Day, which is celebrated on April 8.

Awarding of Mr. Joost Ritman
On February 15, 2008, Mr. Joost Ritman, the creator of the Library of Hermetic Philosophy, an Honorary Citizen of Palekh, was awarded.

From the speech of the President of the Printing Pioneer Fund, M.D. Aksyonova: "Our Fund, bearing the name of the Russian printing pioneer Ivan Fedorov, has a particularly careful and even reverent attitude to the Book. We believe that the contribution to world cultural studies of Mr. Joost Ritman, who founded the Library of Hermetic Philosophy, certainly deserves an award.

Under the influence of Hermetic Philosophy, Russian Symbolism blossomed in the Silver Age poetry. And the returning the poets' names of the Silver Age from oblivion is one of the most significant projects of our Fund.

We also note Mr. Ritman's support for the traditional folk crafts of Russia, especially the Palekh art".

On January 31, 2008, the State Institute for Art Studies was awarded at the annual solemn meeting of the staff members.

On behalf of the Institute, the Order was accepted by its Director, Dmitriy Vladimirovich Trubochkin.
Awarding of the Russian Language Institute named after V.V.Vinogradov of the RAS
On December 27, 2007, the Russian Language Institute named after V.V. Vinogradov of the Russian Academy of Sciences was awarded the Order of the Printing Pioneer Ivan Fedorov at the meeting of the Academic Council.

The award was presented by the President of the Fund, Mariya Aksyonova.

On behalf of the institute, the award was accepted by Viktor Markovich Zhivov, Deputy Director for Science.
Awarding of the State Institute of Russian Language named after A.S. Pushkin
On December 11, 2007, the State Institute of Russian Language named after A.S. Pushkin was awarded the Order of the Printing Pioneer Ivan Fedorov for outstanding achievements in educational activities, preserving culture and traditions, as well as saving and developing the Russian language including as an international information carrier. The awarding ceremony took place at the Russian language conference.

On behalf of the institute, the Order was accepted by the Rector Yu.Ye. Prokhorov.
Awarding of the Chairman of the Board of the German-Russian Forum, Dr. von Studnitz
On December 5, 2007, the Chairman of the Board of the German-Russian Forum, Dr. Ernst-Jörg von Studnitz was awarded the Order of the Printing Pioneer Ivan Fedorov for his active work aimed at recognizing Russian culture, as well as spiritual and ethic values in Russia in Germany. The awarding ceremony took place at the Russian Embassy in Germany.

On October 25, 2007, the Russian Center for International Scientific and Cultural Cooperation under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation was awarded the Order of the Printing Pioneer Ivan Fedorov for outstanding achievements in educational activities, preserving culture and traditions, as well as saving and developing the Russian language including as an international information carrier and intercultural communication environment.

Awarding of Irina Arsenyevna Kirillova
On October 15, 2007, the President of the Printing Pioneer Fund, Mariya Aksyonova, presented the Order of the Printing Pioneer Ivan Fedorov to Irina Arsenyevna Kirillova, a member of the Board of Trustees of the Pushkin House Foundation (London, UK). The awarding ceremony took place at the Russian Embassy in Great Britain. It was opened by the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the UK, Yuriy Viktorovich Fedotov. Awarding of the Literary Institute named after A.M. Gorkiy
On September 29, 2007, the Literary Institute named after A.M. Gorkiy was awarded the Order of the Printing Pioneer Ivan Fedorov for outstanding achievements in educational activities, preserving culture and traditions, as well as saving and developing the Russian language including as an international information carrier and intercultural communication environment.

The awarding took place at the Academic Council dedicated to the issuance of the Decree of the Council of People's Commissars on Establishing the Literary Institute.

On behalf of the institute, the Order was accepted by the Rector of the Institute, Boris Nikolayevich Tarasov.
Awarding of the International Association of Teachers of Russian Language and Literature
On September 17, 2007, the Association was awarded the Order of the Printing Pioneer Ivan Fedorov at the XI Congress of the International Association of Teachers of Russian Language and Literature.

One of the main tasks of the International Association of Teachers of Russian Language and Literature is promoting the dissemination of teaching and learning of the Russian language and literature throughout the world.

On behalf of the Printing Pioneer Fund, the award was presented by Marina Yevgenyevna Skalkina.
Awarding of the Voprosy Literatury Journal
On June 19, 2007, the editorial staff of the Voprosy Literatury Journal was awarded the Order of the Printing Pioneer Ivan Fedorov for outstanding services in educational activities, preserving culture and traditions, saving and development of the Russian language, as well as support for research in the field of literary studies. The award ceremony took part as a part of the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Voprosy Literatury Journal, in the Oval Hall of the All-Russian State Library for Foreign Literature.
DESCRIPTION OF THE ORDER OF
THE PRINTING PIONEER IVAN FEDOROV
1. The Order is an eight-pointed star formed by two open books. There is a stylized publishing sign of the printing pioneer Ivan Fedorov from the image on the title page of the ABC Book of 1574 in the center of the Order. There is an image of the letters of the Cyrillic alphabet: yat, feta, izhitsa, and little yus – in the corners of the books that make up the star. There is an image of a writing pen and an olive branch crossed under the Publishing Sign of Ivan Fedorov. And a yellow neckband bordered by narrow white stripes.

2. The Order is made of an alloy of heavy metals by stamping and casting followed by chrome plating and coated with colored enamel.

3. The decoration (tailcoat sign) of the Order is a small copy of the Order made in the form of a sign with a screw clamp.


REGULATION ON THE ORDER OF
THE PRINTING PIONEER IVAN FEDOROV
1. The Order of the Printing Pioneer Ivan Fedorov (hereinafter referred to as the "Order") was established by the Printing Pioneer Fund, Public Institution (hereinafter referred to as the "Institution"). This is a public award, and it shall be awarded for outstanding services in the implementation of projects related to educational activities, the preservation of culture and traditions, as well as saving, development, and dissemination of the Russian language including as an international information carrier and intercultural communication environment.
2. The Order shall be awarded by the Resolution of the Award Committee of the Printing Pioneer Fund, Public Institution to the subjects of the Russian Federation, organizations, enterprises, and citizens.
3. Repeated awarding with the Order of the Printing Pioneer Ivan Fedorov shall not be carried out.
4. The decoration (tailcoat sign) of the Order of the Printing Pioneer Ivan Fedorov shall be worn on military or civilian clothes, on the left side of the chest, located below state awards. The Order of the Printing Pioneer Ivan Fedorov shall be worn on the neckband.
5. The structure of the Award Committee of the Order shall be allowed to include representatives of government authorities of the Russian Federation, well-known scientists, cultural, science and art workers, leaders and representatives of Russian and international public organizations.
6. The decision on the awarding of the Order shall be made by open vote, by a simple majority of votes of the members of the Award Committee present at the meeting and representatives of other organizations involved for these purposes, and it shall be documented.
7. Information about the Holders of the Order of the Printing Pioneer Ivan Fedorov shall be entered for perpetuation in the Order Book of the Printing Pioneer Ivan Fedorov. The Order shall have a number entered to the certificate of the Holder of the Order.
8. Governmental, non-governmental and international organizations, state and private companies, as well as scientists, artists, and educators, shall be allowed to nominate a candidate for the Order.
9. Candidates, public officials, regional leaders, well-known scientists and cultural figures, representatives of labor collectives, public organizations, business circles, media, and foreign guests shall be allowed to be invited to the award ceremony. During the award ceremony, applicants shall be publicly presented, and awarded persons shall be announced.
10. The Institution shall play the role of the working body of the Order and be responsible for the preparation of all organizational and informational and promotional events related to preparing and holding the official ceremony of awarding the Order of the Printing Pioneer Ivan Fedorov.
